so....i'm pathetic. so so pathetic.
mom's making fig pudding tonight, 'cause we have a fig tree in the front yard and a bunch of them are ripe/overripe/etc.
she asked me to pick some, 'cause she's short and doesn't like stepladders.
problem: figs are sweet. bees like them.
i couldn't even approach the goddamn tree.
even after putting on bugspray (which, incidentally, failed, i got five new mosquito bites).
it's not like i'm allergic or anything, they just scare me. the way spiders scare other people.
and the really pathetic part?
the ones that scare me most are the big fat ones that don't even have stingers.
cicadas scare me, too.
i'm such a wuss.
